First (organizational) meeting!

Okay, so, some info on our first meeting.  First off, it will be tomorrow, Thursday, October 13, 11am-noon. In W3/18 Stewart.  We’ll discuss interests, a tentative schedule, and potential invited speakers.  So, if you want to have a say in when the meetings will be, if you want to present at some point, if you want to invite a particular grad-researcher from another Quebec campus, or if you just want pie and coffee – come, come.

Welcome Back!

Welcome back to anther semester of theoretical discussions (I mean discussions on theory) hosted by the members of the Dr. Claire de Mazancourt Lab, Magnus Bein and Matthew Osmond.

This semester will follow the same format as those past: bi-weekly meetings (day and time TBA) in W3/18, hosted by biology grad students, for biology grad students.  Typically, the host presents a 20-30 minute informal discussion on the topic of their choice, and this is followed by a 30-40 minute hands-on, open-table conversation (i.e., free-for-all argument).   Background readings are often supplied, but not always.  Coffee is served (please bring a mug).
